Summer term timetable and updates

I hope you’ve all had a wonderful Easter break after a hugely successful show term.
The staff and I have had many cards and emails expressing the joy received from watching and being part of the show. Thank you again to everyone who helped to bring together which has been described as ‘one of the best Tozer shows’. All the positive feedback we have had is very much appreciated and makes it all worthwhile!

We can return to classes with renewed energy for a hardworking, fun filled Summer term!

Summer term timetables
The summer term timetable is now available to view on the website – Saturday from 27 April is here, and weekday from 29 April is here.

During the break I have been able to reflect and re-juggle some of the classes this term and a small amount of students will progress into different lessons (individual notification will be emailed out shortly about this and also about private vocal lessons).

We will also be welcoming some new pupils to the school.

Other updates will appear as the term begins.

Term Dates for 2019 / 2020
A full list of term dates from now until Summer 2020 are on the Tozer website here.

Adult Ballet/Pilates/Tap
Mrs Burnett is willing to provide an extra adult class on a Thursday morning as well as her ‘Silver Swans’ (Ballet for the over 55’s) which continues this term. The classes will consist of Beginner Tap/Ballet & some Pilates work. If you are interested in this classes on a Thursday please email Mrs Burnett directly [email protected]

Tozer Graduate Showcase – last day of term celebration!
Otherwise known as the Leavers showcase, this will go ahead on Saturday 13th July (the last day of term). This year we will be doing 2 showcases as normal, but later on in the evening. Students will work on the performances this term… those involved will be all vocal students, Jazz & Street students and those in Grade 3 level classes and up.
The second showcase will include Graduation awards followed by drinks/music & nibbles outside (weather dependent).
Students below Grade 3 and who do not participate in Vocal classes will have their sharing of classes in the morning at the studios were parents can watch and enjoy the children’s work.

Parking and safety at the studio
As we begin a new term please can I remind everyone of the safety of the children when dropping off and collecting at the studio. Please use the car park at all times when arriving and collecting.
NO stopping/dropping off or parking on the road in front of the farm house as this is a thoroughfare and needs to be kept clear of stationary vehicles and please drive slowly and carefully away from the premises.

More than a Marathon
As many of you know and heard when Sarah Angell spoke after the second show performance, she is taking part in the Teenage Cancer Trust challenge ‘More Than a Marathon’, to do 28 miles in 28 days. Below are details on how you can join if you’d like to.
You will need to sign up yourself first at https://www.morethanamarathon.org.uk/, and then if you want to join the Angells then you click on join existing team button ‘Angells’.This is the link to fundraising page: https://more-than-a-marathon-2019.everydayhero.com/…/angells

The Angells are completing their final mile on the 28th April finishing at 3pm at the Hearty Goodfellow. They would love people to join them for a drink. The pub are opening their takeaway hatch for food too and have set aside space for everyone if the weather isn’t so good.
